March 30, 2022:
EGAT awarded the contract for Procurement and Construction of 115 kV Rayong 3 - Rayong 1 Transmission Lines (Job No. RTS2-03-L36) and 115 kV Rayong 1 - Klaeng Transmission Line (Job No. RTS2-03-L37) to TSEC (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

November 1, 2021:
EGAT awarded the contract to upgrade the transmission line to support the expressway project Rama 3-Dao Khanong-Outer Ring Road West of Bangkok (TIM1-ERO-01) to Consortium of TSEC (Thailand)Co. Ltd. and Srichonlathorn Co. Ltd.

November 30, 2020:
Stringing work for 500 kV Bang Saphan 2 - Surat Thani 2 (From KM 157 to Surat Thani 2) Transmission Line (TIWS-L-08) with Double Circuit 4 x 1272 MCM ACSR conductor including one OPGW and one OHGW having approx. 50 km distance has been completed.

TSEC (Thailand) Co., Ltd is a leading high voltage transmission line construction company in Thailand. TSEC (Thailand) has changed its name from Thai Sumiden Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. (TSEC).

Starting its business with high voltage transmission line construction in 1980, TSEC has successfully expanded its work into other areas such as substation and telecommunication projects. With almost four decades of local and international experience, TSEC is now one of the leading companies in the field of overhead transmission line and outside plant telecommunications network construction.

Due to its excellent workmanship, professionalism, unwavering commitment to fulfil contractual obligations and highly motivated workforce, TSEC has earned goodwill from the clients at home and overseas. Consequently, TSEC won the major transmission line contracts with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and in neighboring country, Lao PDR. With sucessful compltion of major transmission line costruction contracts at home and in neighboring country, TSEC has proven itself a reliable contractor of both government and private organizations in the field of transmission line construction.

Historical Background

Chamnan Wichitchanya, a former government official, set up EDC in 1972 and has carved a niche in the power utilities business. Full use of his extensive experience in the field helped the company to achieve recognition in the area of high voltage transmission system construction from the clients, particularly EGAT, in a very short period.

Through the period of 1970s, EDC joined Sumitomo Electric Inductries (SEI) and other companies in the execution of transmission projects for EGAT including Lam Dom Noi transmission line. The success of such cooperation between SEI and EDC led to the joint establishment of TSEC in 1980. In 2005, SEI transferred its share to J-Power Systems Corporation (JPS), a joint venture between SEI and Hitachi Cable, Japan. In 2018, the name of the compnay has been changed to TSEC(Thailand) Co., Ltd.
